Reiki for people
The reported benefits of Reiki are well known and respected. I feel that with Reiki, it is important to approach it from a different point of view. By that I mean, to let go of expectations. And instead to just allow the Reiki 'to flow'. By being open; people, pets or other creatures have a wonderful opportunity to experience and receive the benefit of this special energy.
Reiki is believed to be complementary and is offered in many situations. From the internet, there is a growing acceptance of permitting Reiki to be offered in hospitals.
Below is a list of Reported Benefits from the Reiki NZ Association, strictly for your convenience and information:

What happens during a Reiki session?
During a Reiki treatment the client lies on a couch fully clothed and the practitioner simply places their hands on the client and the Reiki starts to flow from the palms of the practitioners hands. The hands are placed on the head and on chakra points along the spine. If the client prefers the treatment can be “hands off “in this case the hands are held slightly away from the body but above the chakra points. Receiving a treatment is normally a deeply relaxing experience, where the client often falls asleep and often does not even realise they fell asleep ! The treatment leaves the client feeling balanced rejuvenated and they feel a sense of peace and well being.
In some cases suppressed emotions or old memories are revoked during a treatment, I have had several clients who have cried all the way through a treatment, this is a major release for the client and gave us a chance to review past experiences is a caring and comforting atmosphere where the client feels at ease, this often leads the client to realise the underlying causes of problems they may be currently facing, then solutions can be found to remedy the problems.
What does a Reiki session feel like?
Clients report a wide range of feelings during a treatment amongst them are a feeling of tingling, feeling cold, feeling heat, a feeling of heaviness, they may feel the energy flowing into the body or they may feel nothing. The Reiki has a way of flowing to where it is most needed, the practitioner does not need to guide the Reiki this means that every Reiki treatment is unique and the clients will report different effects. Whatever the individuals experience the general beneficial effect of the treatment is the same, with the client receiving the correct amount of energy to bring about the necessary changes to restore balance within.
Can I bring my animal in for a session?
Absolutely! I can do sessions on any animal you have, if they are larger animals then we can arrange for a treatment at your property.
How much is a Reiki Session?
Can Reiki heal all conditions? How quickly will it work?
Although there are many healing stories anecdotally, Reiki does not claim to ‘cure’ anything. It promotes relaxation of the body and the mind, which in turn assists the body’s natural ability to maintain/improve health. Like any other natural therapies claim, healing often takes its own time and it is advised that Reiki is NOT to replace the medical care the client is already receiving.
Does Reiki interfere with any medical treatment or medication?
Generally Reiki is said to be very good to be combined with any conventional and natural therapies, as Reiki supports these therapies and also may reduce the experience of any side-effects.
Caution is advised where the client is taking medication for conditions such as Diabetes, Hypertension or Thyroid problems etc, as Reiki promotes relaxation which in turn may cause a change in the potency of their medication. It is advisable that the client advise their doctor they are having Reiki treatments, as the doctor may find they need less medication.
Practitioners will take great care if the client has injury, hemorrhage, bone fracture or a pacemaker, so that they may by-pass the area or place their hands off the body.
In all, it is very important that you inform the practitioner all your medical conditions before proceeding to receive a treatment.
Reiki Session cost

I had never experienced "reiki" treatment before, one night on a visit from Tracy I was absolutely blocked up and felt I could hardly breathe, Tracy offered treatment to me - as I say had never had this before. Out came the treatment bed, I guess the treatment would have been up to 50 minutes and while Tracy was working on me my nose started to run.. I went from being completely blocked to clear nostrils - it was a fantastic feeling, I just felt so clear. and this was only with one treatment. I can thoroughly recommend this treatment and feel blessed to have experienced it.
